Anyone else saw Caprica ?
I would recommend against spending the $26 or so from Best Buy, Instead just wait for the show to air on TV... It's alright but not worth the money for a mere DVD... Jeez, $26 for a DVD.. anyway... I enjoyed it as an <2h special on the origins of cylons, but I don't think I'll be watching that as a series (unless they branch out on the first war, with early vipers and the building of the galactica). |

I've rented a few of the old episodes from the public library. My conclusion is that the magic was the continuing story, each episode does not stand by it's self very well. Much of the drama is lost.
It was a fairly dark show in retrospect.

BSG: Blood and Chrome is closer in concept to BSG than what the "lawyers in space" Caprica turned out to be...

If they are doing CGI and mostly Green Screen, it should be fairly inexpensive to produce.

and BTW, the real story line in BSG is not so much a parallel with Exodus
it is really about humanity and the Cylons attempting to escape the horrors of Cobol, which they misspell as Kobol and think of as an entire planet of verbose code that is the real reason why the BSG ship eschews most computers and explains the initial Cylon nuking of the humans - the Cylons thought the humans were going adopt legacy systems with Cobol on them Last edited by RWebb; 06-14-2012 at 01:05 PM.. |
