Weather: idiot drivers!
A mini-rant:
I just drove home from work in one of the worst thunderstorms we've had in a while. Dime-sized hail, rain so heavy you can barely see the car in front of you. Lots of T&L, weather service warnings on the radio of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. A lot of people just pulled off to the side of the road to wait it out. Yet some people - seemingly all in SUV's - kept flying along like nothing was happening, one of them was even in the left-side breakdown lane - probably oblivious to the fact that he wasn't even on the road anymore. And a couple were on cellphones. But if they plow into someone, they'll blame the weather.

People in CA drive a hell of lot worse in the rain. People should have restrictions on their license allowing them to drive in all kinds of weather. I had some *** in an SUV riding my Porsche all the way to work this morning and I almost lost it because if he slams in to my car, the insurance takes care of it for him and he gets no punishment for ruining a 20 year old car. People need to be taught courtesy in school and if they continue this ****, then I should have the right to beat the **** out of them.

Yeah, they tend to tailgate now more than ever, as they can see ahead of you and they have anti-lock brakes which will make them stop faster-right!

Luckily most people around here drive too slow when it rains. It's better to side with caution... but yeah, it seems a lot of SUV drivers think they're invincible.

I'm with you Thom, they're just getting more and more nuts around here.
Hope it doesn't rain Friday for T-Hill.

Disclaimer; I drive fast.
Driving up from TRE on I5 there were patches of DENSE fog that would allow me to travel in the slow lane at 35 MPH tops. I knew that if I was going any faster, I would be unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. About every two minutes somebody would blow past me in the fast lane going 70 or 80. Had there been a wreck ahead, there would be NO WAY for them to stop in time. Are they crazy or do the laws of physics not apply to them?

i dont feel safe at all in SUVs i would feel much safer in a porsche. i have a friend who just rolled his SUV he got lucky with only some glass in his arm. but it was not his fault he was driving safe just one of those unavoidable situations. people out here tale gait me on the back roads all the time, and as i learned very quickly how easy it is to hydroplane. i just got my license 5 months ago, im not a crazy driver just did know how fast is fast enough.
