Yeah...Johnny Rockets makes thick burgers from fresh ground beef and real milkshakes/malts. Their veggie-burger is pretty good too if that's your thing. Too bad most of them have closed down, although you still see them in touristy areas.

McCormicks $1.99 burger @ happy hour ( say HI to Fred ) Nick & Stephs steak house $3 burger made from chopped steak .... mmmmm. ( my second home when I lived downtown ) a.k.a. Bunker Hill Bastards

there's always the " smash sandwiches " in France a la " Steak American "
big bread with some sort of meat and fries (frites) and stuff all squashed in a big waffle iron type of thing ... Best thing you ever had ater a night of festivities.
