In & Out !!!!!!
ask for it " Animal Style " ( not found on menu ) you won't be disappointed they also have whats called a 4x4 ( four by four ) thats also NOT on the menu.. truly the best burger I have ever had ... second best burger - Archibalds on K street in Downtown DC .. Yeah, it's a strip club, but would eat lunch there regularly ![]() Don EDIT: I see other have already posted this ![]() I almost forgot Whitecastle/Crystal if you need to just eat eat eat and eat some more. The pickles stick to the windows quite nice as well . My EX used to make me run out and get Crystal burgers in florida ( after the evenings activities )

Sorry, didn't know In N Out had spread to AZ, now. Lucky for you. I'm living in the burger wasteland of New England. I think they're all still family-owned, so no franchises poppin' up all over the country, unfortunately.
Animal Style is when the veggies are all cooked (more specifically, fried, like the patties) in a mustard sauce. It's like grilled onions, but better. Mmmmm.

Noah,
Thanks and was just razzing you. Well... if the meat is cooked (not into rare) and the veggies, that could be good. Will have to try it tomorrow! JoeA

It's my belief that early on when there were only a few stores, that was an internal thing as people got bored with the "usual" it was then passed by word of mouth .. I once witnessed an interesting thing one day at a In-nOut.. This woman thought that they took ATM cards. She placed her order, and then found out from the girl at the register that they did not accept ATM. The girl said, well now you know for next time (She was giving her the meal free) .. the woman couldn't fathom this was happening .. it took her 3 or 4 times telling her before it sank in. I thought that was cool. Best thing at in-n-out.. I eat the burger over the fries ( which were cut moments before they were cooked ) then I eat the fries that have had the dripping on them ... mmmm good Key note also : they do not have freezers, everything is FRESH. Damn, I'm hungry now... no in-n-out nearby .. Harold-n-Kumar-n-Don go to In N Out

In n out is too salty for my tastes...its like a salt lick. Bet you if you put a dbl/dbl in the pasture, the cattle'd come runnin.
I like Islands...good shakes, good beer and good surf flicks playing. One just opened up a mile or so from the casa!

Seattle, - late nite it's Dicks- get the Deluxe but you have to be absolutely trashed before you eat it (or them!) otherwise you'll get sick from the grease.
To the uninitiated, think of Dicks as a really greasy Mcdonald's standard cheeseburger, smilar size, but double stacked, with better bun, some sort of thousand Island with extra mayo and relish, and two patties. You have to order 2, if you want the full effect (my personal record was 5 in a sitting, then I was sick the next day) I like Kidd Valley's burger dip...

Has anyone ever been to Hoagie Haven in Princeton, NJ? Though they are most known for incredible Philly cheese steaks...my personal favorite thing to order is a cheese burger with mushrooms. I used to goto school in Lawrenceville which is right down the road from Princeton. Im back at school on Long Island, and i have been seriously tempted to take a ride down to Princeton and get a burger from them!

They went OoB a couple years back. To my knowledge they were only in the GR area of Michigan..maybe 6-8 locations. Oh man were they good.

Louies in New Haven CT - they use these crazy contraptions that must be 57 years old - they look like small grills with their own smoke stacks. Big sign inside, NO KATSUP, This Ain't Burger King, You Get It Our Way or No Way!
Great burgers - anybody that knows New Haven knows Louies.
