I just re-discovered a new driving song for the 78SC. I thought this song came out much later than 79.

VW 39–the last of its kind
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=16&v=BfC6UU4p_0E

Quote:
A stately 32 hp and a top speed of 145 km/h—the VW Beetle 39 was a high-speed prototype. Porsche built 14 of the pre-series vehicles. After its restoration, the last VW 39 is as good as new. There’s a good deal of Porsche in this Volkswagen. Discovered beneath war rubble, the car has been painstakingly restored. This ur-Beetle was specially designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferry as a high-speed variant. Porsche built a total of 14 prototypes of the car in 1939.
From this article:

The Volkswagen Beetle With A Porsche Heart

https://www.yahoo.com/news/volkswagen-beetle-porsche-heart-091640178.html
Quote:
This Volkswagen Type 39 prototype was capable of over 90mph. Once lost, it has now been fully restored.

A young Tom Hanks on Taxi when Jim was in college (before drugs).

Years later the Simpsons did the same schtick with Barney.

Random VIDEO thread

I’m still working on the whole embedded deal but in the meantime, here is a link to a YouTube channel I’ve recently gotten hooked on.

Trent is part of a “backcountry” group that flys all different types of STOL aircraft. One being the insane Draco. He lives just over the hill from me near Reno. Has some really interesting videos and does a good job of editing. He pretty much will film everything he experiences from good, bad and all different things with the plane. Including experiences with the FAA. He doesn’t lay blame on anyone else, but instead s talks about the interpolation and hopes by bringing it up, others can learn. I gotta be honest, because I just didn’t know that much about Kitfox’s, I bagged on them. Goes to show just how accurate ignorance is.......

Those things can outstrip my C-150, and land in much cooler places too.

So, if you like aviation.... enjoy! If not, then move along, these aren’t the droids your looking for.
