Right now she's gonna leave it, cuz it's a comfy spot to sit and watch me paint the damn kitchen. But next time she wants to move it she's gonna let me know, and I'll get the neighbor to help me. It's actually impressive that she was able to budge the friggen thing at all... there is just NO accounting for its weight. We like to think that there are gold ingots in it.

Did you use a single part urethane? Unless there's metal on the legs it shouldn't scratch like that. the easiest way to fix this is with a can of urethane and a tiny modelling paint brush. You can stain the scratches first if necessary.
The last time I refinished a floor I used a two-part urethane that's practically indestructible. Varathane makes it. We've got two big dogs and they can't scratch the stuff.

It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. |
