I think complications develop internally when their rational mind tells them this guy will be a good home provider but that other guy makes them wet.

This happened to me a few weeks ago... out at a friend's, went to the bars and crashed at his place. I called our house and left a message with my sister in law, who promtly fell asleep without relaying the message. My wife called at 6 AM, very upset... not mad, just worried. I was in the clear, because I had called.

I've never been really good about calling and "checking in", especially if it's late, I've been drinking and I've lost track of time. In this case, I knew I was in the clear so I wasn't all defenive and didn't get my back up, and I realized how worried she really was... I'm more careful about it now.

That was her whole thing - she wasn't mad about me being out, just mad she didn't know where.....

She always has visions of me being dead at the side of the road or something.

Everything is fine now... Took her out to breakfast this morning.

I mean, here in LA, in order NOT to have a few lined up; one has to be truly fuched up...too many fish in the small sea...plenty of gals (non-bims) out here looking for stability. Even better if you have no ex wives, alimony and child support...
