Grovel, my friend, like there's no tomorrow. Otherwise you'll be watching the big game in the Sears electronics department.;)

It's always the brother's fault....just ask the wives.

rcecale 02-05-2006 07:54 AM

Tell her you were out looking for something to give her for Valentine's Day. took all day because nothing you saw seemed worthy enoug for a woman such as her...(you can embellish on this a bit...I'd recommend it. :D )

Apologyze and tell her it won't happen again - and keep to your word.

You mean the TRUTH?

Look at her with a distant, spellbound look in your eyes. Then go ahead and suggest to her you where abducted by aliens.

I tried that number once.

Only once...

Yeah Baby, I know that you love me and get worried that I am all right...and I was insensitive to your feelings by not letting you know where I was. But U know how much I care about my Brother, he just lost his job and seemed so depressed I just wanted to be with him to cheer him up abit...

rcecale 02-05-2006 10:02 AM

"Woman, get off my back and make me a sandwich!"

sell your porsche as an act of contrition, then buy another one 9 months later, then get divorced another year or two after that.

works every time...

I'm not married so not really qualified to answer in any way, but, what exactly did you do wrong? I honestly don't get it.

In that case Shaun, please don't ever get married. For your own good, just trust me on this one.SmileWavy

Tell her she has every right to be pissed.
1) She probably won't be expecting that, and
2) Women love to be told 'it's okay to feel the way you feel'.

Good luck!

Paul.

Same here. Not married and not understanding the crime. From what you've written, it seems you gave of yourself to help a close relative make it through a tough emotional time. I'm not being sappy when I write that. I mean it and I genuinely applaud you. If you were my friend, spouse, or SO, I'd give you a pass on any "infractions" committed while helping another person. Her reaction does seem a bit insensitive.

strupgolf 02-05-2006 06:20 PM

If by "bit of time" you mean a few hours, then there's no problem. If a "bit" means a few days, well then you have a problem. If its the first bit, then tell her to quiet down, because if you are looking at a long married life, it wont happen with her.
