The "Vomit Comet" does not defy gravity. It demonstrates it.

That's good, I like it!

back to topic, yes the device will require outside source to get up to speed, once it 'then' has inherit KN it then would typically bleed off the energy; just as spinning wheel would.
The ingenious part is using the coils and magnets in such a sequence that the magnetism it'self contributes to the rotation.

I don't want to continue this pissing contest (although it is entertaining), the proof is in the pudding.

There is Zero obligation here. no money asked for period.
ALSO yes G.E. is aware of this and is one of the major opponents of it getting to the public. Politics play a huge role in its long time coming. that is why the makers (not me) want to prove it to you live so that all the naysaying can be finally put to rest.

I now submit my remaining minutes to the honorable gentleman from.................

Bull*****.

If what you had was really the cat's ass, you'd have been down to the patent office already and one of - hell, any of - the major corporations would have either bought the rights from you or put electrodes on your balls until you signed it over.

You wouldn't be trolling the boards like a 2-bit time-share scammer to get people in on your scheme.

Reminds me of Kamen and the super-hype leading up to the unveiling of the Segway ("entire cities will be designed around it!". At least he had a cool toy; it appears that all you have are knuckles crusted with man-chowder from trolling the boards.

Put up or shut up.

Rotational Kinetic Energy

The kinetic energy of a rotating object is analogous to linear kinetic energy and can be expressed in terms of the moment of inertia and angular velocity. The total kinetic energy of an extended object can be expressed as the sum of the translational kinetic energy of the center of mass and the rotational kinetic energy about the center of mass. For a given fixed axis of rotation, the rotational kinetic energy can be expressed in the form

The expressions for rotational and linear kinetic energy can be developed in a parallel manner from the work-energy principle. Consider the following parallel between a constant torque exerted on a flywheel with moment of inertia I and a constant force exerted on a mass m, both starting from rest.

For the linear case, starting from rest, the acceleration from Newton's second law is equal to the final velocity divided by the time and the average velocity is half the final velocity, showing that the work done on the block gives it a kinetic energy equal to the work done. For the rotational case, also starting from rest, the rotational work is tq and the angular acceleration a given to the flywheel is obtained from Newton's second law for rotation. The angular acceleration is equal to the final angular velocity divided by the time and the average angular velocity is equal to half the final angular velocity. It follows that the rotational kinetic energy given to the flywheel is equal to the work done by the torque.

And that proves what, exactly?
Just because something has a patent (what's the number, by the way?) doesn't mean it will do what it was 'designed' to do...

To me!

This whole conversation got me thinking...

I'm no engineer, but I think you'll find my preliminary concept to be very promising:

Jake!

I take it the fluid in the miracle device depicted above is used veggie oil?

If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance: baffle 'em with bulldust!

To think I was feeling sorry for the guy!

I thought trolls lived in caves and under bridges, why would you need a generator?

Just because YOU got suckered into parting with your cash, doesn't mean anyone here is as gullible.

The concept is defying gravity a bit, but I don't think that will be a problem. I've defied gravity by using a trampoline before.

Les, the veggie oil I use stinks when left out in the open, especially if it comes from a seafood restaurant. Best left in sealed 55 gal barrels.

Jake,

It couldn't stink worse than the 'free energy' scheme.
