ok, everybody calm down!

agro, nobody can really define art. a mime makes me want to punch him/her in the mouth, but some can call it art. photoshop is a tool, just like a paintbrush. and in my experience the best way to shut up a talentless artist is to reproduce the same thing. so let's see it. grab your camera and shoot and post what you can come up with. i guess the one thing about art, is that; not everyone can do it. come on agro, YOU CAN DO IT!

i once bet a painter that i can splash paint onto a canvas just as good as she could. i was wrong.

I'm a painter, and I don't go around berating photographers or performance artists that what they are doing it not art.

Sounds to me like your just some a55hole who like to hear himself talk.

(of course that description could be applied to about 80% of all Porsche owners )

Argo - you have to understand the subjectivity of art as a whole - from painting, to photography to poetry - it is a matter of taste and what is pleasing visually and in other ways. Whether Matisse or a person throwing paint into the exhaust trail of a jet engine to spray designs onto a forty-foot canvas, everyone has an opinion of whether this is or isn't art, but no one should engage in an obvious confrontation about it.

Confronting an artist as to his or her work is, hopeless and useless, especially after that artist's style has been established. The most you can gain, if that confrontation is expressed in a nicely-critical manner, is that the artist will listen to you. But as you have done here, I would expect Alan to merely pass off your opinion as one of bitterness and jealousy.

I hope, however, that isn't the case, though it seems as if it is.
