The guy has been dry for so long with nothing but faith to sustain him, its a wonder he hasn't killed anyone by now, much less offended someone. No one here is defending him because he is a good Christian. I couldn't care less what his religion is or isn't. The dude was stoned drunk and was a blabbering idiot. No excuses. He did publicly apologize though even if it wasn't necessary. What he said to the cops shouldn't have been made public. Now we know he is bigoted deep down but couldn't you tell that from his Christ movie?

Besides, who isn't the slightest bit bigoted deep down?

The real question is why are we (on anyone) actually discussing this? Every day across the country people are drunk and arrested and say stupid dumb stuff. Do we ever hear about that? Only when it's someone of (supposed) importance do we hear about it.
