Actually I'm sad this happened. Means Karl Dorrell will get to stick around another year. No consistency to UCLA, they are better than a middle of the pack team.

Hmmm, not that the BCS will care, but I think Oklahoma deserves consideration for the championship game. What happened to them when they played the Ducks was blatant robbery by PAC 10 officialdom. They should be considered as a one loss team.

Great game! It was all setting up perfect with USC driving at the end and needing a TD to win. Then that tipped pass, interception and 62 yard punt!
Oh, and note to Pete: the 70's called. They want their blowdry back.

Hijack
And not that it means anything but the W Va Rutgers game was very entertaining. I never saw triple OT in football before.

I was at the game yesterday.
Highlights: Sometime in the fourth quarter the WHOLE UCLA team gathered in a tight mob and started jumping. The Bruins fans soon caught on to what the team was doing and started going nuts. Mind you this is all happening during a time out. When the Trojans saw what was going down, they bunched up too and started jumping. The SC fans went nuts. The mobs started yelling at eachother across the field while getting closer to the center of the field where the game officials were hanging out. The offcials started throwing their flags before the mobs got too close. As soon as the flags dropped both teams returned to their side. It was at that point that 90,622 of us realized that UCLA had the balls to win this game. It may not sound so impressive, but it was one of the coolest things I've seen at a college football game and I'm a totally neutral Oregon Duck. I've never been to the Rose Bowl before yesterday... Tailgating on a golf course?!? I look forward to going there again, a very spirited atomosphere. You can't beat palying bocci ball in a sandtrap. Best rivial shirt of the day: Trojans don't get tased.

that was a pretty cool scene, GHS... they showed it on TV and at first it looked like it was going to be a Miami-beatdown situation...but then when they zoomed in on the UCLA players, you could see that they were all jumping up and down smiling and happy...you are right, that has never been seen before in the 4th quarter of a game...

In retrospect, it's a good thing the Trojans lost to the Bruins. They would have had their asses kicked, no doubt, by Ohio State. With the results as they are, Carroll will have to rethink "the program."

Notre Dame is overrated. Everyone knows that. Sherman are you expecting a repeat of last years bowl game? I think it was Miami vs. LSU. Al I know is that LSU held the other team scoreless!

OSU - USC would have been a good match up, IMO. USC has a decent defense and will eat a zone defense alive.
I know it couldn't happen, but Id like to have seen LSU - Michigan. I'd like to see how the SEC matches up head to head against these Big Ten teams. Tom, I don't have expectations of this LSU team. They often do the unexpected Maybe its a good matchup. Its basically a home game. Its a nice draw for the BCS moneywise, so I guess thats why we got them. How bad does Notre Dame have to be before they dont get a BCS bid? Im kinda glad we didnt get a West Virginia or a Rutgers or a team with something to prove.
