I drove my normal Malibu Cyn + PCH commute to work this morning after being out of town for a few days...wow...seeing the burn area in person made my stomach sink. It goes on for several miles even though the Malibu fire was a "small" one comparatively. It is shocking how close it came to so many houses and businesses without taking them. The firefighters did a really outstanding job.
