Europe gets lots of cool variants
A decent looking Smart car.

I saw a similar sporty version of the Smart car while on holiday in Airlie Beach
in North Queensland las Nov. It was almost 'Lotus-like' in looks if I remember.

Was driving through Mountainside, NJ this afternoon behind this wide-body 964 cabriolet, with the word "Roadster" on the deck lid, anyone ever seen/heard of such a model?

Yes, that is an America Roaster, factory wide body 964 cab. I know of a few for sale if you are looking..
