It went so well my head still hurts.
But seriously, I took a slightly different tack. The new wife is Chinese, so I did a little, slightly humorous speech (directed at my brother) about things he needed to understand about Chinese women if he wanted to keep his new wife happy. It all went over very well.

I like Gregory Corso's "Marriage". Although it's mostly about how the "institution" of marriage is trite and full of middle class cliche. But there are a couple gems in there that you could plagarize/incorporate into your own stuff.
