I heard about there new fan-dangled things. But I don't think it's gonna catch on. Matter of fact, I hear that Beta's making a comeback!!

Besides, why would I need an HD capable recording device when my one and only TV in my house is a 27 inch 18 year old tube-style unit?

Simple. No need to rewind. Rewind is so 90's.

I actually still do since I watch very little TV and want to tape even less. I think I have one tape as well. Can't see the need to subscribe to DVR service.

You wouldn't believe how much the fax is still used. I work in a central office for a gov't agency. Every month at the beginning of the month, that fax machine whirs up as the month reports are filed. That machine works harder than some people.

I have a 7 year old digital camera that takes 4 AA batteries. Thing cost like $500. That's obsolete 00's tech!

My mother still has her "first generation" digital cell phone (about 10 years old).
Going through airport security last month they pulled her aside because the screener didn't recognise it as a phone as it went through the X-ray scanner. She had to pull it out to demonstrate what it was.

We have 2 rotary-dial phones at home. I just like the look & feel of them, and figured I could at least use them to answer the phone. Surprisingly, I can still dial out using them.

Ha! I work for the local telco, and I was able to find a guy who works in equipment who found me a couple c~1915 crank phones. A buddy of mine is setting them up as an intercom from his house to his woodworking shop.

When I began research on 911's I saw that the early 80's cars were running Dizzy's but I assumed by at least 1990 they had to have switched over to coil packs. Since my 1980 Targa had a 1990 motor and 1994 computer I was sure (and did not research again, assumed) that there would be coil packs. I was very surprised that Porsche was still using Dizzy's.

Anyone know how far into the 90's Porsche continued to use a Dizzy setup on their cars?

Hell, you're Mr. Newfangled Technology! Carbs were still relatively common through 1989 in cars!

I reember when pagers first came out and you weren't cool if you didn't have one.

I have to say that I felt kinda silly with my garage door opener hanging on my belt

Ours is run every day for all our nightly processing instructions and for sending account forms back and forth with clients who are too far to drive. Sure they could be automated (save the signatures), but it just works, why break it?
