Were the Raiders ever successful? WELLLLL . . . Raiders fans actually used to look menacing during the games. Now, dressed in their "menacing" garb, they're even funnier than SNL . . . although I haven't actually watched SNL since the late 80's . . .

Tom Flores wasn't too bad of a coach, either. As a Raiders fan since childhood, it's been pretty painful to see such a long stretch of mediocrity in the team. Now I have an inkling of what it must be like to be a Clippers fan.

I assume the Raiders are so high is because of the high population in So. Cal, but Detroit is far worse than them. They've been the SB once and have not won in the playoffs for decades. They have been <.500 for what seems like a decade. I think the only team worse in Cincy.

I was a Raider fan to (back when Stabler was around), but I moved on years ago
 . I'm on a football high (but the season's early still)...how 'bout them Panthers and Pirates (East Carolina)!!!

You guys are all completely nuts. Have you seen the Dolphins?
I was at a sports bar today- the dolphins were playing. Their game was only on one screen. There were like 5 screens on the jets game, another 5 on the broncos game. Even in Miami we know they are the worst in the league. The WORST. |

The season is still young and the Dolphins are in a much tougher division. I'm sticking with the 49ers. They're simply awful. Perfect example of a team that should be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up to be a contender in 3-4 years. Right now they're in a long-term cycle of awfulness that's indicative of problems running a lot deeper than a few players.
At least Miami is taking steps to rebuild itself and frankly, is playing (occasionally) a way better quality game than I've seen out of S.F. in recent memory.
