(note to the ladies: Just leave it alone. Put the makeup brush down and slowly back away from the mirror. Guys prefer honesty.)

The stuff of nightmares.

But seriously, I feel very sorry for them. All their lives they are celebrated for their looks; then they get older, and they can't handle the truth in the mirror. An older woman who takes care of herself is still beautiful, but they never really learned that the true beauty is on the inside...

I stumbled across these yesterday:

Some people age very well as long as they stay away from the nip-n-tuck.
Like a fine wine I prefer the after with these exceptions, and wish there were more like them.

You still get to ride to motorbikes. I had to sell my 93 900SS. So you are way ahead of me.

That said, I am finally old enough where I understand why people watch TV. Mind you, I'm limiting myself to Dr. Who and Grand Tour on Amazon, but it's nice to sit and relax now and again vs. always doing something.

I had a Land Rover Discovery with a similar headliner treatment. It worked in an old Disco, not sure about a BMW. Especially when it's about $30 for a roll of the correct headliner fabric.

David, an academy story your daughter may appreciate. A local guy who graduated, Kyler Whittaker. He was on the USN team that made it to the final four, David Robinson the star. So, the tale as told me by Kyler's dad. His fist assignment was on an oiler. Word came from the carrier that the Admiral wanted Kyler to join him for lunch. Kyler, knees shaking, wondered why the Admiral wanted to see him?

Turns out there was a Navy/Marines basketball game scheduled on the Carrier's deck.

Yep, Navy won.

Changed my "lifetime" ATF today at self imposed 40,000 mile interval. Car should trip 200,000 next month. Old "big gulp" plastic cups are the best!

Replaced 4 out of 6 burners, 3 “flavor grids”, 4 control knobs, 2 electrodes and 1 spark generator - The first real work done and it’s 16 year of life. Figured I better do it while I could still get parts. About $900 and a crapton of elbow grease!
