THAT suit and THAT girlfriend—well that couldn't have been the easiest way to start on the bumpy road of life...

Ha, Ha! Yeah you're not kidding!
I bought that suit especially for that evening.... it was our Awards Banquet where I was the MC and recipient of 5 awards; 3 of them scholarship awards. If that was a 'starting' point of my life, I have no complaints. Just can't believe 1980 was almost 30 years ago now?

As for the GF, she wasn't anything serious, an architectural student at the time that went on to be an architect in Edmonton, AB. I met my wife about 5 months after that photo was taken and she's been the love of my life ever since. The only reason I have that photo is because they gave us all a memory disc at the 25th reunion a couple years ago.

thought it might inspire some others to post their before/after mug shots? So I dare ya.... post away:

An old home of mine, wanted to spruce up the front entry; tried adding a patio, but still blah; so making some plans to get rid of the low soffits over the entrance

George - The engine I imported from Japan and actually came out of this car:

It is a 2.2L twin cam 16Valver, with 44mm Mikunis, big compression, big cams etc.

It was an expensive and impulsive decision due to the "WoW" factor but a bad move as that engine was never imported into the U.S and getting parts were horrendous. I had to end-up importing a spare engine due to the rarity. Still the truck screamed....7,000rpm and 90mp/h in third gear and actually nothing ever broke, totally reliable.

If I had to do it again, I would turbo charge it!

My best -
Yasin
