The only commentary I found was that our society has become a bunch of ignorant consumer whores bent on instant gratification. I wouldn't call it left or right.
I enjoyed the movie. |

Holding back is for wimps.
Do people really need to be told they are fat consumer whores? Isn't that patently obvious? Do people see no connection between our current economic woes, and their huge fat asses? |

I thought it sucked, but wasn't violent about it.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.
The blobby people on their futuristic floating chairs, staring at the monitors in front of their faces instead of the world around them was spot on. Actually, I don't think that many get it. That's why WallMart is packed with crap. Furthermore, the story was conceived in 1994, began development in 2003 and was in the can while the market was still on an strong upswing. It's just that much more poignant (okay, and patently obvious) today.

I laughed when I saw that Wall E had saved a spork as a treasure. . .

That said, I think I'll microwave some food, pop open a 2 liter of something and veg in front of the couch all day watching NASCAR and WWE. Does anyone know what channel "Ow My Balls" is on?? ![]() ![]() I loved Idiocracy. I guess you wouldn't like that one either.

Didn't love or hate the movie; actually preferred Cars, but hardly found Wall*E to be political.

I wasn't that enterained by Wall-E either. Like Todd stated, the first 15 minutes or so of Wall-E doing his job on earth was the most enjoyable. Loved the way he collected things.
The rest, to me was basically, meh. Monters Inc is still, IMHO, the best modern animated film. As for the classics, it is hard to beat Snow White, which was revolutionary when they made it. -Z-man.

I kinda liked it. No oscar winner but not bad.
It's cool to see what is possible these days with a computer. Quite an achievement.

It won an Oscar for best animated movie, IIRC.

Wall-E is numbah one at my house. We ( kids and I; wife is more reserved ) think it is Pixar's best. Mostly for the characterization of Wally and the emotional content achieved with ( almost ) no words. The part of the story that involves humans is secondary, to us. Recognize it is not the usual action-packed animated movie, and doesn't have many of the "in jokes" that made, say, Shrek and Shrek 2 fun for both adults and children.

I agree that it was PIXAR's best, followed by Monsters, Inc., then Cars, then Finding Nemo. I think the only one I never saw was The Incredibles, which I heard was really good.

I thought it was a great movie too. Storytelling w/o words is good storytelling.
Maybe "The Last House on the Left" is more to your liking? Sherwood |

That movie SUCKED AZZ! I wasn't thrilled and neither were my kids. They are 5 and 3 and both were bored with it. They liked Monsters Inc, Nemo, etc much better. Funny thing though, my son REALLY likes Young Frankenstein and war movies.
