Even with modern rds, you need a good shot to drop one of those beasts....................or an M2
They had a skull from one on display at 43rd AG with 2 rds crumpled into it/not penetrating that should have been kill shots. It was their subtle way of saying 'don't **** with the wildlife' |
I've killed 5 wabbits myself; at least that I know about?
As for our pal m21sniper, I'll buy him a beer when I see him. Not that I'm taking sides, not that I agree with all of his close to 8,000 posts, but because he backs up what he says and what his opinions are. If he's wrong, he admits it. Good $hit in my books, I enjoy reading his posts. Thanks snipe. |

The M855 stuff has a steel core but i still don't know if it would penetrate a boar's skull in a frontal shot. I wonder if there are any pig hunters here that can share some perspectives on what they prefer to use. 5.56 is really optimized for coyote sized game. Quote:
Rest assured if i'm ever anywhere near BC you'll be getting a phone call from me. :) You seem like seriously good people. |

And diaper, what you think of me is of no consequence. Much like what you think you know about all the BS you spout. I don't care if you like me or not. I don't care if you believe me or not. Basically you're meaningless to me, except as an endless source of amusement. I join in the threads I have an opinion on. And I will continue to. I never knew that starting threads was a prerequisite to full PPOT full membership. But I was thinking of starting a few with some of the inane, ignorant posts of yours. That should be interesting. My poor diaper, you can’t stop reliving the past because you know that you have no future. I do add something to threads, the PMs I receive are proof of that. Your first lie. I do back up my claims of data with links. Here is another lie of yours. I have been questioned many times, I have always answered. But I don't cater to the ignorant. I won’t mollycoddle lazy idiots who won’t lift a finger to gain some knowledge. And, just to show what your level of reading comprehension is, I never claimed that I plucked a tail feather from a tail (or tails) of a wild turkey (or turkeys). Why don't you try reading a lot slower and continue to move your lips while you’re doing it? That will help for sure. |
"RPKESQ
This message is hidden because RPKESQ is on your ignore list. " That was a compelling post. Probably your best post ever here. |

I'd like to go off on a tangent () and remark on a statement regarding the food chain. Man is on top of the food chain, not within it, and as such we can choose to eat what we want. Man has no natural predator whose diet includes man meat. If we get eaten by an occasional tiger, shark, crocodile, lion, chimp or ant colony, it's merely because of the circumstance we place ourselves.
Thus, it's not a valid argument that because a horny elk can toss us on our keyster without a moments notice, they're our natural enemy - and thus we have the justification to kill them. Don't use their defensive capabilities as a rationale to hunt them. If you've occasionally eaten deer or squirrel meat you've bagged in addition to the chicken mcNuggets, chili burger or ham and egg breakfast you consume, that isn't a good reason for hunting either. In other words, if you have commercial options for your meat consumption, you don't have to lock and load to fill your belly. The real reason. Let's call it like it is.... people enjoy the challenge of stalking, shooting and killing animals. There are many rationales for doing so, but they're all peripheral to the main issue, and mostly man-made solutions to man-made issues. Being one with mother nature is fine and dandy - go for a walk, and carry your .44 magnum if you must. One never can tell about those pesky Blue Jays. Sherwood |

You too Dave ;) Ha, Ha; probably just that jealous envy coming out in me? |
Rob,
You are right. Either one of two things happened to me. 1. My hair is self-preening, which will save on haircuts (except for the side to prevent "Bozo" syndrome. or 2. My brain is growing and it has ripped through my hairline. (unlikely, but what the heck, helps with the fact that the stuff is falling out) |
You're not losing your hair Danimal, you're just growing more face! ;)
(my best friend's balding dad used to say that all the time when we were growing up) |
