[QUOTE=m21sniper;4557019]The irony in this post is fantastic.

I love when people who have no idea what they're talking about opine on a subject.

Friend of yours did the deed on this one?

I don't even want to be in the same woods as a bear that big....LOL.

I swear that if I was out riding the bike and saw a bear that size I would most certainly soil myself...

Man, I do NOT have a gun big enough to do anything but piss that hairy mountain of claws and teeth off. Does anyone make a bicycle mounted grenade launcher?

+1 Amen to that brother.
I used to hike alot of bear trails; Waterton Park, AB for example.
We'd always have the sacrificial fat guy along; ha, ha.

fwiw, I've never shot anything in my life. I had a rifle once but I was spending far too much time thinking about shooting people that I gave it up. I respect the sport though, although pics like OPs do sadden me, such is life.

Can you imagine if that bear suddenly did a Glenn Close (fatal attraction) just as those guys were playing with it's paws. Duck soup baby.

As others have said I would crap my pants if that thing was coming at me.

Wonder if those guys were just out hunting or if that griz was some sort of problem bear that needed to get taken out.

Bill,

When I worked up in Montana in the mid 70's we had a guy named Charlie that was on the Rough Griz react team. He was with the guys that hunted down the griz that ate that girl right out of her tent at Glacier, in front of the lodge. I wonder if this one was doing the same. These bears can be very dangerous when the loose their fear.

S take the bear in a fair fight..
what they did is..
52 bomb run..then talk about 'combat'
From what I understand, even you having a 30.06 is not a fair fight with a big griz.

What caliber brought that big boy down?

Wit? Are you the one who is the American in Paris? Be careful, the Frenchmen I have met are pretty sick of imported problems. And they fight for France. I am sure you will avail yourself when the time comes. Or will you? You can have your honorless wit, I'll take character and service.

Yes, yes, lets make war on the bears. Those crafty bears are on the verge of wiping us humans out.
