It is raining hard and lot of of lightning. My 8 mile commute to work takes me down a road that goes through the middle of the antenna farm. There are well over a dozen radio & television antennas in the area. They are real lightning attractors. I have seen lightning zap them several times in a few seconds.

Dave, our pilot was real happy the weather in the Baton Rouge was cloudy yesterday. He did not have to go. He has made 3 round trips down there shooting the flooding. He will go back this weekend, then up to Kansas and back to Houston. He has been flying over 30 hours a week for the last few weeks.

Just the gas alone costs about 600 to 700 bucks to make one round trip to Baton Rouge.

Happy Friday!

Hi, my name is Glen, and I am a tool-aholic.

I was just coming back from lunch and drove by the big NAPA warehouse. They had a big tent in the parking lot and a sign "tool & equipment sale" so I HAD to stop. I picked up a set of these:

Amazon.com: GearWrench 81223 Roto Ratchet Set Cushion Grip, 2-Piece: Home Improvement

for just 34 bucks. No shipping required.

SCORE!

Go with rule one. A project is not worth doing unless I can get a new tool out of it.

Stijn!!

Mrs Carrera & I went to a favorite eating joint. The Prime rib was GREAT.

What the heck, tomorrow is the end of the world so why not. The fact that we always get the prime there is just a coincidence

Trying to lose a severe thunder storm/tornado in AR.
It's been chasing me since south of Little Rock.
Stopped for the night in W. Memphis.
Ground is kind of wet around here.

Evening guys... I finally got some work done on the car I bought from Mike. The heavy fuel tank is now out, it had some seriously old gas in it, mom made me leave my clothes outside....
Now its on to scraping undercoat, and cutting out the rear floorboard so I can use a small fuel cell.

Howdy guys.

I have several projects to do today. I plan to replace the brake fluid on the 911 & while I am at it I will change the El Camino brake fluid.
