Been trying to get my ride height dialed in.
Got everything set except the right front wouldn't go low enough without pulling the end cap and re indexing. Tried getting it off last week.......no go.
Today i ground down a chisel small enough to go up through the adjustment bolt slot and under the cap and wailed on it awhile.......it finally popped out. Well actually the whole T-bar came with it but at least i got it re indexed.

Woooo! top is off the Rover and I've got a few pieces of galvanized conduit tubing and a pipe bender, that's next weekends project, then it's off to one of these boat canvas places for a bikini top.

nynor 05-30-2011 05:39 PM

which rover do you have?

porsche4life 05-30-2011 06:35 PM

Be careful if you have to weld the galvanized tubing.... That smoke is nasty.

Chef Dave is manning the grill tonight! Hamburgers for all. Better get here quick though... Only making 6.

porsche4life 05-30-2011 06:45 PM

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it...

Noah930 05-30-2011 07:21 PM

Izzit too late?

HHI944 05-30-2011 07:33 PM

I've got a 1981 series III 88" having some running issues as of tonight. Cures if I pop the air cleaner tube off and cover the inlet so I imagine it is time to play with the mixture.............

Not gonna weld, just got make two bends and drill through it twice.

porsche4life 05-30-2011 07:39 PM

Or just stuff a rag in the inlet

The mix screw is easy to get to, shouldn't take but a few minutes to repair this for long enough to realize that I'll need a new carb because zenith didn't see fit to properly heat treat their carbs in 81....

slodave 05-30-2011 09:16 PM

Mmmm, mmm... That was a tasty burger!

Tomorrow night is Italian sausage, spaghetti with an onion infused tomato sauce simmered in oil, garlic bread, roasted bell peppers and salad. :)
