No, not fond of the smoker. ;) Drinking is fine.

Geronimo '74 08-03-2011 12:04 AM

Well, I'm willing to cut her some slack on the smoking thing if you're not. :D:D

I need a lightweight hi torque starter, you cannot believe how difficult it is to find one here locally.... :(
You guys have all the good components closeby and cheap....

Morning/Afternoon Gents.

Why do you need one Geronimo.
Need or want?

livi 08-03-2011 12:18 AM

Looks like yet another day at the beach. Oh well, I canīt complain.

Morning,

I have the stock one that weighs about a gazillion kilo's. I prefer lightweight.
It's a difficult place to reach so it's a 'while I'm in there' now the engine is out.
So it's more of a want than a need...

vas930 08-03-2011 12:25 AM

Sounds good Markus.

It was the warmest August day on record today. 22d
Winter in Australia.

vas930 08-03-2011 12:28 AM

Whats the weight diff?
And what are they worth with postage?

Geronimo '74 08-03-2011 12:38 AM

I've read that the stock one is about 18 lbs (8 kg) , lightweight is about half that.

Buying them online in hte US will take extra postage fees, import duties, and a long wait for Belgian customs....
If I can source one locally, then I'll have it much faster.

Scout around your neighborhood during the day, come back late night when one has been found..

That kind of talk will get you in trouble, Doc... :)
I had three weeks vacation, worked the first week, it was sunny and hot.
Too the next two weeks, grey, dull and rain....
Now I am back at work, grey, dull and rain...

slodave 08-03-2011 12:42 AM

It was your choice to work. ;)

Funny thing is, I didn't exactely do much on Thursday and Friday so I can't write those days as working days without raising some eyebrows. I have nothing to show for them so I wouldn't feel comfortable takeng those days later this year... So that were two days at the office for free.....

vas930 08-03-2011 12:50 AM

I have an interview in the morning for a part time job.
Have not realy worked for the last 4 years.
Dont know how I will go.

slodave 08-03-2011 12:51 AM

Well Dave I live off some rentals that I built up over years of working 7 days a week.
At 36 I had done well and gave it away.
Building this 930 and wanting to do a bit of track work,I need a bit of extra cash.
I raced karts for many years and now have that bug again for the track.
Just two days a week, not that much. ;)
