That is a big tree. What type of tree is it?

(and don't say big!)

Its a big-tree, Glen. :D

It stands in a botanic garden in the old medieval city of Visby on the island Gotland. I was there on a allergy conference and on the last day I was a bit under the weather from the night before and went to the garden as I am a big tree fan. This particular tree´s name however slipped my mind.

I really need to put this to good use soon. What a dreary drag that is.

Yea, no joke. Without a lift a valve adjustment is a real pain to do.

Particularly no 3 and 6 intake valves. Like doing an appendectomy blindfolded.

Easy right.....

One of my local friends still works at the Porsche dealer. He worked there in the 911 air cooled days. He used to do 8 to 10 valve adjustments every day back then. He still knows all the tricks. Number one is have a lift :)

I rattle canned my fan, turned out exactly the color I wanted.
Put it in the freshly powdercoated housing, looked great.
Chipped a tiny piece of the paint.... Grrrr :(

Wondering whether to have it powdercoated too. But I want that exact color.

Oh dear. Thats a lot of valve adjusting. Yes, a lift is definitely something I plan to acquire in the future.

I have long though of having my fan coated. I am just don't think regular paint is tough enough. Every little chip of paint in just sucked into the engine cooling fins. Look at some of the photos of painted fans. The front edges of the fan are all chipped up. That is why the factory just leaves them ugly.
