A terrific overindulgence of almost everything Porsche. To hear a flat-12 at full honk is near-nirvana. And as a turbo guy, all that whooshing and pffft-ing of turbos and blow-off valves is uber-cool. So are flames shooting out tailpipes.

But it was also about the people. It's neat to see Norbert Singer, Derek Bell, Brian Redman, Bruce Canepa, Vic Elford, Jeff Zwart, Jurgen Barth, Patrick Long, Jochen Mass, Didier Theys, Johannes van Overbeek, Hurley Haywood, Gils van Lessep, etc. It's the very human side of the Porsche family.

Great weather, great track, enthusiastic crowd (but not too crowded, either). I had a fantastic time at the first RR, 10 years ago at Lime Rock. This event was just as good. I just wish my family had gone with me.

I just downloaded about 1600 of 'em. Too tired to post them tonight. I've got to get up in 5 hours and drive to beautifully bucolic Bakersfield.

Seriously, it would be fun if we could post more pics from our own every day life - not just anonymous nudity. Actually, I think from now on the only nekkid pics should be of your selves or people you are connected to in some way. :D
