A Scandinavian chapter would be pretty dull, I am afraid. So far I have been pretty much the only one. There are a couple of guys but they rarely post these days. No, I wouldn´t know about any 930 and as Dave mentioned, I wouldn´t have any use for it as I drive like an old lady.

No problem with driving slow, as long as you enjoy the ride!

If I could figure out how to do the trick youtube embedded video thing, I would do it here:

YouTube - Porsche 930 Turbo acceleration

And btw, are we aloud to talk about cars here? here's what's going to PPI in 5 hrs and 32 minutes:

If car talk is taboo here then I humbly appologize. Too bad about the scandinavian chapter. I would be there. I've seen a few "fellow" (and I use the term fellow loosely) Norwegians in here occasionally.

who here should be working right now?

1. Me.

Nice car, good luck,
FYI, work is a 4 letter word.

livi 11-13-2009 02:36 AM

Anything goes on this thread. That 930 looks fantastic! Good luck!

slodave 11-13-2009 02:36 AM

I should be sleeping...

Rick V 11-13-2009 02:38 AM

I should be doing something, but for now I am enjoying the quiet house, a cup of coffee, and going in late. I think my cats believe that I should be feeding them.

the_webbster 11-13-2009 02:44 AM

good.

but I promise not to ask any newbie technical questions!

So far my work day today has consisted of: 10mins of coffee drinking, 30mins of work and 2hrs of Pelican scouring...

Rick V 11-13-2009 02:48 AM

Sounds like you are gonna fit right in here. :) Markus is the only one who thinks working is more important that hanging with the crew. (Just poking fun Markus)

Go here... 911 / 930 Turbo & Super Charging Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS for the newbie tech questions...

Oh, I've been both of those places, for hours on end!

so lets talk about cultural differences. The highest speed limit within 500km of here is 90...KMH! what the he11 am I going to do with 350hp? fortunately I am only 45min from the swedish border. the country where the roads are open, men are free and the moose are scared!

A month ago I got a speeding ticket for doing 82km in a 60 zone. 6500 Norwegian Kroners - that's nearly 1200 DOLLARS!! jesus H. the scariest of all was that at 85km/h I would have lost my license! I didn't even mean to drive fast, I drive a reasonably powerful "americanized" pick-up with automatic so 70km to 80kmh feels like, well, nothing.

I think I will be getting in the 930 and driving straight to the border.

Where I live, the speed limit just lets you know how much you are going to get charged. I live in the mountains of Virginia. The local law doesn't stand a chance of catching me. My area is very rural so I know most of the cops anyway. It is not unheard of to come back home after an extended period of enthusiastic driving and have a cop waiting for me. They gotta get me at the time or they can't write me. Don't get me wrong I don't run from the law, but these guys know, in the twisties they stand no chance against my cars so they don't try. Now if I were to be speeding in my truck (the daily driver) that would be another story. (unless it was snowing)

Wow! Italian cooking lessons over the Internet... The video makes it especially entertaining...

I-44 is just a few miles from my house. The speed limit is posted at 75 MPH. Anyone that goes that slow will get run over. The traffic flow is 85 MPH. There are open places when the view is unobstructed for miles. I have heard rumors of people going triple digit speed for many miles :)

We don't have many curvy roads in this area. We do have a great race track for our autocross. It is the most legal fun you can have for 15 bucks.
