Good evening guys.
Boring post photo. I like it. |
Still looks like a post ho in progress to me.
This post was made post-class and also post-haste so that I can get back to posting in another thread and stop this post slutting presently.
Sid, when you gonna come out to CA? You will love it here. Rocks to climb, ocean to dive in, girls to chase, nice roads to drive. Your mountainbike would have plenty of nice trails even without street tires.
My only class next Tuesday was cancelled so I get out for Thanksgiving on Monday night now. Awesome. That is 6 days of vacation! I wonder where the TRE drive will go?
Oh, I almost forgot about the elephant seals you can see Sid. :)
Where's the Doc?
All hunt and no find? Typical elk trip......

The only lens I have, a 35-80 kit lens just is a cheap lens, doesn't seem to matter what I do, pictures look grainy. Honest to go my point and shoot produces a better picture. I know some post processing is necessary, I was just saying that the UV filter would have helped a bit. Quote:

I was just thinking about that (how many ways there are in CA to enjoy your favorite activities) after your comment on my photo on fb last night.

UV filter will help a little, but not too much. It does cut down the UV light and also will cut through light haze, clearing up a shot. UV filters are dual use. The UV side and also, as a buffer in case you drop the lens and it hits on that side. Most likely the lens glass will be okay, but the UV will be a goner.
The kit lens that I use happens to be sharper than one of my dads good lenses, so much co, that he replace his lens. The glass in kit lenses should be fine. They just usually lack all the bells and whistles. Noise, not grain... Noise is produced by digital cameras, grain is a film artifact... That aside, Lenses don't cause noise, they can't. Noise is due to ISO settings. The higher the ISO, the more noise that will show. A good filter to get is the circular polarizer.. Though, they can only be used 90* perpendicular to the sun. A variable neutral density filter is good too... But it won't increase "color" or saturation. |

I may not be a hardcore conservative, but I gotta be able to shoot when I want to.... |

Smog, yeah, gotta deal with that... Gun laws.. Not a big deal, so you can't have a mag over 10 rounds.. Big whoop. As for shooting whenever you want. You can.. There are a number of indoor ranges here and on the outskirts of the Valley, I know of at least 2 private outdoor shooting clubs. True, you can't just open the back door in L.A. and legally fire a few rounds, but it kinda makes sense when you see how close your neighbors are. |
Well there is a shooting range about 10 miles from here, right across the highway from a beautiful rocky outcrop and about 5 miles from the beach.
