You ever notice that corporate-america female pop singer all sound alike. -20c here in the mountains of Taos. Good morning all in Euro-land & the U.S., from the missing state of New Mexico. Was on my way to California, a couple years back(in Cristine), get stopped at the inspection stand. The guy stands in the lane, with his hand up to stop, walks over to me and asks me for my visa and how long I'm going to be in the U.S.A.? I start laughing, and say I'm from New Mexico U.S.A.. He asks where's that? I tell him it's between Az. and Texas. He says well that news to me.

There is a urban legend in Oklahoma that I have heard many times. Some lady was driving across the country and came to sign in Oklahoma for "Now entering Indian Nations." She stopped and used her cell phone to call the State Troopers for an escort across the area. She had visions of Indians swooping out of the hills on horses and shooting at her with bows and arrows. I have heard that story from a State Trooper that swears he knows the trooper that received the call.

-8C here.

My 4A engined toyota coupe doesn't like anything below freezing.

The Porsche always did exceptionally well in the cold. Car has the best heater of an vehicle I've ever had.

I put it in storage for the winters though. It's never seen slushy roads.

Yea, I miss the heater my 911 has. That sucker will roast you in a few miles. My Elky never does get the cab good and warm when it is real cold out. My wife's car is amazing for heat. The heater blows a lot of hot air in short order, and the car has bun warmers as well.

Or just drive moms corolla for a few days until it gets a little warmer... Fire it up and move it to the shop and put thinner oil in....

When referring to a VW it is break not brake

i got the turbo fired up last night. maybe i should stretch its legs today. kind of a post-vasectomy hurrah! the passenger latch was stuck and the electric lock drained the battery.

its cold here, as well. the high yesterday was 28 F.

good evening lads.

signed the deal on the chalet today. we now own property in Sweden! Don't actually take over until the damn banks get their act sorted out and get the money transfered. should be a week or two.

See you guys have been busy today.

Also noticed something about a photo requirement. first time I've heard that. Not exactly a mug shot but here's one of me and the wife on that boat last weekend.

well, I see it's quiet again here on a friday.

what do you guys think of these two:

Porsche : 911:eBay Motors (item 320454112601 end time Dec-02-09 17:07:33 PST)

Porsche : 911:eBay Motors (item 160382222025 end time Dec-04-09 17:49:22 PST)

the engine in the silver car looks to me to be well sorted and valuable? what about putting that engine in the yellow Carrera and then finding a stock-ish engine for the silver 911?

Input?
