Yes, cams only if the rest of the motor is coming apart.

I was thinking headers for drivability, more than absolute HP gains. Turbo lag semi-sucks. Well, the lag sucks, but the whoosh at the end is quite the rush.

Max: Yes, it was I in the 993tt.

Yes I understand.
The headers dont help that much.
When I drive my car hard, I brake and start to apply the accelarater at the same time.
I can now time the lag so I have full boost at the apex.
This is how they do it in the 934s and 935s in the 70s and 80s.
You will always have lag on these single turbos.
People who say they dont are talking BS.
Perfect this driving style and the lag is not an issue.
However, with this means you corner bloody quick.
Coming out of a corner on full boost needs grip.
Thats why I keep banging on about the TBs, Shocks and Tyres. Brakes.

I know I have done the Headers on my car.
My stock ones were stuffed and I am now at the limit for a CIS turbo.
So the headers are worth the money.
Plus, I have the cash to spend.

Look forward to the build. :)

I actually like my bicycle a lot. It is a good workout uphill and downhill is more exciting than the 911 (on the roads I ride and drive on).

I see a motorcycle in my future.

You see death in your future.

Stay safe on four wheels, Max. ;)

Howdy guys. It feels good to sit down and relax.

GH85Carrera 01-01-2012 06:56 PM

I got the wife's car detailed today. Full wax job, vacuum interior, treat the seats and dash & all the windows are clean inside and out. The wife did help some.

GH85Carrera 01-01-2012 06:57 PM

And happy birthday even if it is supposedly not you BD.

vas930 01-01-2012 07:00 PM

Glen.

Question for Dave.
I play golf with an old hippie surfer( great bloke)
Anyhow, he has a Gibson electric guitar from the late 1930s.
Not sure what year.
Its in great condition for its age.
I dont know all that much about them.
Are there many of these around.
I would have thought it would be a bit of a collector ?

I ask him about it and he does not seem to think its a big deal.
Not sure he knows what he has?

GH85Carrera 01-01-2012 07:10 PM

Howdy Vas.

It is a good thing I practice my 12 oz curls on a regular basis. My right arm is tired and sore from all that waxing and cleaning on my Elky and my wife's car. If I did not have lots if practice drinking beer my right arm would be useless right now. I is a good thing I am married, I could never shine my sword or rub one out right now. I may have to have another beer to make sure my arm and shoulder does not lock up.

I don't need a super fast bike like a literbike, just a nimble one. Maybe a nice smaller engined Ducati Monster with some nice aftermarket suspension bling.

Oh, and I will continue to formulate my plans for my 'best car ever'. Probably will be something like a Beck Spyder but with some cool high tech stuff. I am a Mechanical Engineering student, after all. Think Ariel Atom but looking better.

Flieger 01-01-2012 07:11 PM

Noah930, what model of Ducati do you have?

GH85Carrera 01-01-2012 07:12 PM

The fun news for my arm is tomorrow I have to wash the 911. Fortunately it does not need wax!

GH85Carrera 01-01-2012 07:14 PM

Max, them there donor cycles are deadly. Stick to cars. They are a lot safer. Just my opinion.

Porsche-poor 01-01-2012 07:40 PM
