Yeah that does sound like a tuff spot to be in. Lets hope a job is right around hte corner for you.

Then you can find me one.

Rick V 01-10-2012 04:22 PM

Both of you can have my job

nynor 01-10-2012 04:25 PM

what is funny is that my employer (and my manager) thinks they have all of us over the barrel, due to the economy. and, until recently, that has been true. today, i look at the local job listings for respiratory therapists and there are several within salt lake city, whereas about two months ago there were none. i just applied for a teaching position at the school i went to. i know the associate dean, so i left a message with him. i'll call him tomorrow, as well.

Now that I get. I was glad I cut back to 40, but I think 24 would be too far

Porsche-poor 01-10-2012 04:37 PM

Lets not try and get it field tested ok!

i like my job, too. every single month, without fail, there is some ridiculous thing that administration pulls out of their arse, or they have to address from a previous time they pulled something out of their arse. that is the joy of crisis management: it is the gift that keeps taking. i cannot tell you what the turnover has been, but it is huge. i bet the turnover costs them more than $150K a year.

i am going to skip the wine. i took more pain meds. the last dose i took, six hours ago, has worn off.

When I was at the Porsche dealership we had a great crew, we had fun, we had good numbers, we made lots of money and had a very loyal customer base. Management started mucking with it and now there is only one guy who still works there from our crew, and the turn over rate is through the roof.
I think once you attain management level you have to leave your common sense in the glovebox when you got to work, no matter what the profession.

Y'all have a good evening, I am gonna go curl my happy ass up in the hot tub and see if I can get my knee to stop yelling at me.
Peace out and don't forget to tip the waitress.

Porsche-poor 01-10-2012 04:56 PM

amen!

Porsche-poor 01-10-2012 04:56 PM

enjoy!

And you can spend time at that altitude, you just have to watch it, air is thin, no strenuous work...

Hell, I've spent the night at 11,721.....

slodave 01-10-2012 05:14 PM

Max, when flying, oxygen gets used above 12,000 if staying up there for a while.

Top of Mammoth is 11,053'. I can ski that all day without problem.

nynor 01-10-2012 05:15 PM

12K feet? okay, its been about 10 years since i flew/studied.
