I know it is a multiple time re-post, but I thought we could all enjoy this picture one more time. :D

I certainly don't get tired of this pic :)

One of my buddies would sleep through any alarm clock on the market. He would loose his job if he kept coming in late. I helped him set siren from an old fire truck. It was one of those that slowly ramped up. If you ignore it for 10 seconds it is wailing full volume. He had to jump up and run across the room to shut it off before it hit full volume or the neighbors would complain. We put it in a steel cage and he had to use a long screw driver to hit the off switch. By that time he was awake.

Lol, nice touch with the screwdriver, Glen.

i destroy classic ringing bell alarm clocks.. and i mean destroy em.
they are single use to me... Nothing can wake me up in a more foul temper then such clocks

Yep, the GIF is hosted somewhere else. I just linked to the graphic already on someone else's site.

That is why we put his in a steel cage.

I always wake right up ready to go. My wife hates the fact I can "bounce out of bed" happy and ready. If it is time to get up, get up and go.

And I'm sure you're willing to help her pick sand out of places it doesn't belong...

This douchebag that ran in to me, today i got confirmation from insurance that he was deemed responsible. This evening he sends me a mail..

He starts of with this

"Mister Vandamme

On december 23rd you ran into me in the city of Ghent.

The damage is about 4000 Euros.

Then he starts off a rant about me lying, me accelerating into his car, all kinds of rubbish.

In his rants he even repeats that the cops told him he hasn't got a leg to stand on, and his insurance company that says he has got nothing if he can't get me to confess."

Confess to what? he changed lanes on me!

Its' a total joke really.
At some point he goes on the boast how he doe 40 000 km a year
Well big effing deal, he's not alone to do those kinds of distances, i do em too.

replied to him stating i have a different recollection of the events of that day.
That frankly i can't be bothered playing a I-said-you-said game
Basically from my end, the matter is in the past.

But since i'm such a nice guy, i felt like offering some advice so he can avoid the situation in the future:

But out of the kindness off my heart, allow me to offer you some driving advice, as you don't do as much km's as i do
( basically letting him know i don't care how much distance he does a year)..

So next time you need to get from A to B and come to that road situation
don't push your way in the left lane if there is no room
Just go straight, and take the next left.

(Also pointed out areas where he wouldn't have the right of way, and would have to make sure to yield to other traffic.)

Then go straight, and you'll arrive in the same spot, without all the fuss.
It's a less complicated traffic situation, it's faster too.
For your convenience i've included a little map

guess i'm a bit of a troll

But in the end, that's not a bad tip for that area.. i use that detour all the time..
And unlike him, i never drive into other cars when i change lanes.

I think that would make my temper worse. Trust me when i tell you , the cage would get it,
one way or another. Even if it takes me all day to destroy it, it would go down.

Flieger 01-25-2012 02:09 PM

I guess the cats could wake you but they would not be reliable.

svandamme 01-25-2012 02:11 PM

These days i set my cell phone, for some reason that don't trigger the rage.

And 99% of the time, i'll wake up 30 secs before it goes off , and i'll just be checking the phone for the time when it goes off. It's really weird, it even works when i set random times..

Flieger 01-25-2012 02:18 PM

I use my phone too. It works great as long as I have not put it on silent mode or turned it off for some reason like church or certain classes.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2012 02:21 PM

Afternoon folks. Been a boring day here in the pnw.

svandamme 01-25-2012 02:21 PM

mine can't do silent , alarmclock overrides the sound profile
