nynor 02-28-2012 08:32 PM

Porsche-poor 02-28-2012 08:36 PM

nynor 02-28-2012 08:37 PM

that is a mormon cricket that got itself tangled up in a tumbleweed and died. i took that yesterday, while shooting my .308 rifle.

porsche4life 02-28-2012 08:39 PM

What makes a cricket Mormon?

nynor 02-28-2012 08:41 PM

Porsche-poor 02-28-2012 08:42 PM

porsche4life 02-28-2012 08:46 PM

Ok, just googled it... I've seen one of those, just didn't know what it was called....

And D, you know my feelings about Mormons....

nynor 02-28-2012 08:47 PM

i don't want to PARF up the thread. i've been doing my best to be better.

porsche4life 02-28-2012 08:49 PM

Ya, no need to rehash that topic.... I still don't know how you live where you do...

nynor 02-28-2012 09:03 PM

snowboarding, fishing, motorcycling, shooting, canyons, etc. but, yeah, we are looking to leave. the work situation is only making that decision easier.

BTW, i did confront my boss about that issue. i caught him lying. then i made him repeat the lie about ten times, just for fun. i do feel better about myself, having confronted him and confirmed what i believed. as i predicted, our department is imploding. our most experienced therapist just quit. that makes two in less than two months, out of a total of nine full time employees. the nursing department is leaving like rats from a sinking ship, also.

Porsche-poor 02-28-2012 09:27 PM

hang in there!

Porsche-poor 02-28-2012 09:29 PM

The throttle bodies are worn so with that and the cams it idles high and doen't like putting around town. It has headers so no thermostat control. It is set permanently lean but in a few months our mechanic is going to install a system to actuate the cold start squirters with a button. That way the warm starts will go smoother. As it is now cold starts require two or three starts before it continues running. And warm starts take a lot of cranking since the cold start squirters do not work due to the heat soak.

But as long as you keep the revs up it is a hoot!

I can't imagine what a higher compression RSR motor would be like.

I doubt them cold start squirters will make it work better.
MFI without heatexchangers to warm up the thermostat will always be a royal pain in the ass on MFI.. been there, done that, it is what it is.

I ran mine with an ajustment screw in place of the thermostat.. basically i had a manual override.. warm up always was a pain.. no matter how i adjusted.

Installed heat exchangers and instantly the car started and warmed up nice.
