Damast steel is also used, outside the English language.
But frankly that probably ain't real Damascus steel as nobody knows for sure how it was made in the old days...

so probably it's a modern attempt to replicate it, but it ain't the real thing.. Like Wiki said, prolly is Pattern welded steel. Or another method.. (pattern welded is the most common method these days).

I personally think the 2nd amendment means the citizens can own ANY type of arms, non-restrictive from sling shots up to and including tactical nuclear weapons.

That being said, I don't have a problem with a license showing certification for proper handling and usage and not associated with any particular gun ownership, like a driver's license. Then instead of laws attempting to limit or restrict ownership, they should have very strict penalties for improper usage or usage without proper certification. That would mean you could own a weapon and not have a license, but don't get caught firing it without the proper certification.

Just think of the huge industry certification would create!

tactical nukes? Sure thing, but you do realize that if your neighbor has a negligent or accidental discharge, that it could be rather more annoying then a .45 through the wall, right?

And if you say Tac Nuke, how about Bio weapons? Same principle , right?
till off course your other neighbour trips while he's walking to the car and his CCW permitted Highly Virulent strain of Ebola vial falls out of his incorrectly used holster...
damn. there goes the neigborhood.

Seriously, i can understand the right to bear arms, and to arm bears.
But nothing in that 2nd Amendment covers Bio or tac Nuke weaponry.. And i rather doubt yer founding fathers would have included Bio or Tac Nukes if they knew about them in their day.

So no, the amendment doesn't exclude them perse, but really, it should.
Cause no amount of certification can prevent stupid from happening.
And that's all i'm going to say about that since i would prefer to keep this thread from going PARF

There is a kid that had a nuclear lab in his parents garage. Because he followed the proper safety precautions there was not a thing the government could do about it. I think it should be the same with tactical nukes, and or bio. If that person is the type that would accidentally release or set off one of those, I am sure they would do themselves in long before it got to a cataclysmic level. However I feel that would fall under the heading of hazardous materials, bio, nuke, explosives, etc. and is already regulated as a safety concern not an arms concern.

As for the 45 through your house from a neighbor, that neighbor is being negligent of the proper handling and usage and should receive the highest penalty if without proper certification for that 45 whether anyone is hurt or not.

And again with the retribution..

I know of a couple friends that have all the legal permits to have full auto guns. They are so expensive to shoot they almost never do. If you ask them why they have them thay will say just because they can.

iron ore laced with organic material, probably straw, and baked (at really high frickin temps) within a sealed clay shell, like an egg.

to replicate it, steel and iron are forged together and folded. depending on the folding method, different patterns emerge within the striations.

That's one suggestion, but that's not verified as being the way they did it back then.

nobody knows for sure, there is no proof one way or another.

true. but, one can look at the results and extrapolate. it isn't rocket science. like making beer, if they did it then, we can do it now.
