We got lucky so far. Over 60,000 are without electricity. We have not lost power at all.
|
Apparently in redwood falls MN free wifi just means its free if you can pick up the signal.... So up here on the far end of the top floor, I'm screwed...
|
fun. hail at home no net on the road.

Sid, at the very high dollar hotel in Savannah we had the so called free wi-fi in our room. It was bundled with the 20 bucks a day convenience fee. The wifi was so slow I did not bother. I just used 3G. The wired wifi was pitiful but faster so my laptop was at least on line. My wife's iPad would only connect on occasion.

Storms seem to have passed. Still alive. Seen a few 2in diameter hail stones in yard. Lots of golf ball sized most were quarter size. Visual inspection shows no tree limbs were set free.
Glad I decided a long time ago that cars are worth much more than the junk that was taking up parking space in garage. Now just gotta figure out where are all that dust is coming from. |
Talked to 928 tuner guy. Hunting idle is caused by air leak. Takin GTS in this morning to have intake smoke tested for leaks.
Get the idle issue taken care of and can whoop up a tune on it. Which means a lot of driving around data logging. Since I can upload stock and tuned maps plan to go for stock and tuned dyno runs to see what difference it makes. |
Friend of mine in Austin spends 8 hours a day helping techs troubleshoot hotel wi-fi installs for att.

This hump day feels a little like Christmas...

Good deal Richard

Came home this evening to discover water leaking from the bottom of the exterior kitchen wall. I can hear water running when I stick my ear against the wall. Bugger, bum, chit! :(

Jeff, check your waterheater, trouble comes in three's and Richard and I were the first two
|
hehe.
Only similarities are that it's water. Have a Solar water heater, this water is coming from the slab. Water noises are inside the wall and the exterior walls are double brick. I'm guessing that the busted pipe is in the cavity between the double brick, as neither the interior or exterior wall is damp yet. This is gunna be a crappy insurance job. busted up render, holes punched through brickwork, re-render/repaint, etc. Hope it doesn't become a saga. Looks like I'll be spending the day at home tomorrow, organising insurance and plumbers :( |
Welcome to the Stijn thread. :D
|
:D
Yeah. I get the feeling that I'm truly initiated now ;) |
Wait, solar water heater and you have water flying? Did you break the sun?
|
Na, I think the sun will still rise again tomorrow.
Hot water is okay (sort off - it'd be perfect once I cut some palm trees down), it's all cold water bubbling from the slab. |

Nice Ewok!

Good morning folks. We survived the night. There is another thunderstorm going on right now. Tonight is supposed to be as bad if not worse than last night. A lot of the streets are flooded due to all the tree leaves down. The hail knocks off a bunch of leaves and the water pulls them to the drain where they clog up the storm drains and cause some flooding.
