Never mind Stijn, I found one.

I have a laptop that cannot be pinged by other pc's on the network, nor can you map a drive or printer. The laptop can ping other pc's and map drives, printers.... Any idea's?

Installed it. It sees the ping requests from my laptop... Why won't it respond? This is annoying.

Where is your wireshark? on your laptop? or on your ping target?
are they all setup with the the right subnet and gateway?

Wireshark on the target. Everything looks good. It's been on two networks now, same issue. Windows FW is disabled, I removed all remnants of the McAfee install that I found in the reg. The netbios name was resolved on my pc. The only similar problem involves Citrix and it's not installed.

pff, had similar thing this week @ a friends house.
kids laptop wouldn't connect to their wifi router, kept going to the wrong one... tried everything, and in the end scratched windows ...

damned kids with their limewire download to many crap these days, bad software, virusses and what not...
I just can't be bothered with those kinds of problems anymore... it's to time consuming....

cat's finally settled down... i hope the freezing weather doesn't last to long.
It might get nasty otherwise... Bubba is not to be underestimated when it comes to fights...
He used to take on cat's twice his size in the previous house, before Boris arrived.
Bubba is cold, calculated and fights skilled & dirty, while Boris is a blunt tool who doesn't know when to quit.

So far, Boris has taken 2 cuts on the head... I'm not worried by a cut here or there... i just don't want Boris to loose an eye by Bubba...

just analyzed Bubba's technique, his right paw is thunder, he put's permanent pressure on his foe with it,
hard hit's with just one purpose... keeping the other one busy and unbalanced...
then when he sees and opening, it's time for lightning, aka his left hook... and he goes for the head...
That explains why Boris has his cuts on his right side...

Bubba is probably more like George Foreman...
Boris on the other hand, wants to float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee...
but unfortunately , he's just no Ali.
he's fast alright, but just lacks technique...He can't go for the rope a dope,
Bubba just takes him down MMA style if he get's to close... Bubba is way to strong close in...

My family is from Germany, I don't think I would do well in anything French. Although, it would solve a lot of my "problems"
