gotcha. i bet the other kids were not happy at all. he can play that axe.

Porsche-poor 07-02-2012 12:03 PM

both he and the bass player quit. Both are not happy with the lead singer. So maybe this will be a wake up call for the rest of the band.

Afternoon guys... Been on the phone chasing down what I have to do to get a new battery in the trailblazer. All the hard driving and then sitting for the weekend killed it.... Looks like my best bet out here in the sticks will be to buy it and install myself.....

the gal with the tambourine? the intra-band politics begins!

Porsche-poor 07-02-2012 12:28 PM

that would be her. what politics he will wah his hands of them on 7/4. One last gig and he is done. He told them he quit but would not leave them high and dry for hte next two gigs. Now they have to rebuild and start over.

He does not like pop music and they are pushing for more. At the gig on Sat night they played the middle by jimmy eats world (he hates it). On that song he plays mostly rythum and it showed. From the stage you could see the baseball game on tv and he put one hand on a speaker in a relaxed pose and played his part one handed while watching the game.

One parent asked me what he was doing. I said he is bored and could have phoned in this part.

I had the pleasure of seeing NIN play Hurt live, and it is a moving song anyways, and then with the Johnny Cash video just puts it over the top. A great song written by a talented young(ish) musician, being performed by one of the most talented musicians of the 20th century....

Yup

Evening Y'all

Okay looks like Conner is going to follow in my shoes. The 13th is my last day, leaving on good terms but leaving.

nynor 07-02-2012 03:26 PM

i'd have loved to be a fly on the wall for that discussion, rick.

Rick V 07-02-2012 03:28 PM

I simply told my boss that I am not a big truck mechanic, I have no desire to become one, and frankly he can't afford me. The shop labor rate is $78 an hour. When I work for myself I am $110 an hour
