So it looks like there are a pair of young red tail hawks in our neighborhood. They're always crowing and flying about all day long. They seem to like the big tree in our front yard. BUt we just had that trimmed this week, and now I wonder if the birds are complaining to me how naked their favorite roost has become.

Question: Hypothetically speaking, is it good or bad if a red tail hawk makes its nest in a tree in your yard? Do they become territorial? Will they dive bomb my pets or kids?

Yes, they are territorial and can swoop down. Not much you can do, as they are protected.

Howdy folks. We made it 918 miles to Hays Kansas. We are checked in and I have my first cold beer. When I drive to Maryville Kentucky it was 911 miles. When I drove to just south of Flagstaff Az that was 914 miles. So 918 is a new one day driving distance record for me. The other two trips I made solo and did them an hour faster. This trip was a little over 14 hours of driving.

918 miles in 14 hours is an average speed of 65.5714286 Mph. Having lived through the bad old days of 55 mph it still makes me grin like a little kid at Christmas to cruise past a cop at 80 mph and not get a second glance.

yes. i had a pair go bonkers on me at a golf course in kansas. i think i had a LSD flashback during their attack. seriously. it was that intense. if i could have hit them with my golf club and brained them to death, i would have. trust me, i was trying.

awwww! i've been gone a while, guys (and gal) but i've been super, super busy. had to take a break from PPOT for a bit, and I'll probably just swing by on occasion to say HI. I'll give a quick update via pictures of what i've been up to!

here we go!

before i bopped out of here, i mentioned that i was going home in June (i skipped my trip to Le Mans for the race). The week before i left for indy, i found a local smoking deal on a Heckflosse that I could NOT pass up. The interior is absolutely pristine on this thing...so i picked her up. The yellow isn't original. I'm thinking of repainting in a slate grey or something a bit more "stately" and not so much "taxi."

ok, after i bought the mercedes, i was on my way back to Indiana. I started a thread before I left about champagne, well, because I was throwing an epic party. epic can only begin to describe this thing....

I mentioned that I have a dance club in my house in indy. No joke. 1500 sq feet of lights, lasers, smoke, dj booth, and professional dance floor. it's a little unnecessary, but, boy does it make parties fun. Here are a couple of pics from when i was doing a light/sound check....

The party itself was crazy. i had almost 60 guests show up. there was talk about which champage i went with....well, i did the Perrier, Dom Perignon, and the Cristal. I ended up buying TWO more cases of Dom P then I initially ordered. I catered in food and desserts. It was truly a party to "Indulge One's Sense's."

Silly me, but I was so busy hosting the party, I forgot to take a single picture. I do have a picture I stole from one of the guest's facebook postings....

While I was back in Indy, I jockeyed back and forth between my house and my folks' house. Here's me doing a recreational activity back there. (notice the shell casings, haha).....

Oh yeah...another thing i have been busy with is working out and eating right. On March 14th i weighed 256 pounds. Today, I weigh 184 pounds. 72 pounds off of me....and I feel amazing. here I am after dropping the weight. it's like looking at an old friend again when i look in the mirror.

but the most exciting thing is what happened this last week.......

(to be continued....)
