Looks very comfy Noah. My chimenea is on loan at the moment - love it

Dinner!

I'm all caught up in the latest carbon fiber, electronic shifting road bikes. Man that thing was light.

You go for a test ride somewhere Dave?

slodave 07-18-2012 10:11 PM

No, I couldn't ride it. :D It is set up for a client of mine that is a bit taller, but he put in on the stand so we could spin the rear tire and see how it shifts. Technology has come a long way. The bike weighs 15# (6.8 kilos). He has some rare version by Specialized.

He used to own this Ferrari:

The driver line-up was as follows: 14437 had Paul Newman, Milt Minter and Elliott Forbes/Robinson. 15685, Ken Starbird's car, had Dick Barbour, John Cannon and Tony Adamowicz. 16407 had Bobby Carradine, Roy Woods and John Morton. Among the crew members was John Morton's dear friend, Sylvia Wilkinson, who was, in her own field, a wonder-woman. I had volunteered to help with timing, but Sylvia said, "don't worry, jut leave it to me". As it turned out, Sylvia was able to maintain a chart on both of our cars (more on that later) and keep tabs on the rest of the field as well. She did this for 24 straight hours, so far as I could tell, never even taking a break for a pit stop! She was absolutely amazing: She could tell which cars were approaching her pit position by the sound of their engines.

And with a brain fart, I remembered that Bobby Carradine (I know him as Robert), is the dad of an old friend from HS.

Flieger 07-18-2012 11:58 PM

Ken Starbird?

slodave 07-19-2012 12:02 AM

Yup, that's him. A very nice guy.

Rick V 07-19-2012 01:39 AM

Rick V 07-19-2012 01:44 AM

And how is Dave today?
