Must admit that I did that a couple of times when I was over there  Usually when turning at a T intersection.

It happens here a lot when you guys are visiting

No, the guy overcooked the turn. You can tell by the body leaning under the combined braking and turning resulting in monumental understeer.

So why cover up the guy's license plate? Open season on public ridicule if you're doing that on the street.

The watermark just happened to cover the license plate. It is applied automatically in a computer program and he chose a position probably based on a different picture and that was used on the whole batch. Paul does report bad driving to his cop buddies but they say that there is not much they can do without witnessing it and without proof of who is driving, etc.

Alarick, how do I get my BP to go down in the next 4 days?? It was 121/79 tonight.

Noah930 07-30-2012 10:22 PM

Uh, how low do you want to go? Usually 121/79 is considered pretty good.

Sweet! I'm wearing a gorilla mask on all my canyon carving runs from now on.

However, his insurance company might have an issue with internet documentation of driving shenanigans. There are guys at track days who have taken to taping over their license plates...just in case they show up in someone else's photo that makes the rounds.

slodave 07-30-2012 10:25 PM

Really? Mayo Clinic lists it as being right at the low hypertension range.

Just normal, no need to go too much lower than that. :) Although, 0 would help me sleep better. :D

Is that why they do that. :D I thought they were just being overly protective and didn't want the plate to get messed up (how that would happen on a rear plate...).

Just wear a full face helmet, with shield down! You'll look badass and no one can see your face. :D

You can have my BP (and my meds) if you want. 132/78 on a good day :(

I'm not going to tell you what it can get to

slodave 07-30-2012 10:55 PM

Are those numbers with the BP meds?

My heart rate is in the low 60's.

Yup. Been on the meds since my late 20's (back when I was a super fit Gym junkie). Lot's of tests and no explanation why I was hypertensive from such an early age.

My resting heart rate is somewhere between 70 & 90

Your BP and heart rate are fine.

slodave 07-30-2012 11:12 PM

I'm just overly stressing this week. I have to go for a FAA medical at the end of the week and always freak out.

I know my heart rate is good. I'd still like to see everything a little lower, but I'm going to have to double the exercise regimen to do that and give up all bad foods.

Outback Porsche 07-30-2012 11:15 PM

If it's up on the day, tell them it's just white coat syndrome ;)

slodave 07-30-2012 11:16 PM

Hehe. It always is! I always get really nervous before doctor appointments.

Outback Porsche 07-30-2012 11:21 PM

Hmm, the end of the day is nigh.

Hopefully tomorrow will be more eventful. SmileWavy
