Cool! Two people are on my senior project team. And at least one of them picked my project as one of his 10 choices.
![]() The other person is in my ground vehicle dynamics class so I think she also put it in her top ten. Yes, I did say she. Tall and blonde, too. I only met her briefly today between classes and it was late so she was backlit and I did not see what color her eyes were. I will find out tomorrow. Anyway, maybe she will have some nice friends. Although her being an engineer and into cars is pretty hot on its own.

Welp, I whipped my law mower into submission. For the last few years it has taken at least 6 pulls to start when it was fist started. Yesterday it would not start at all. With a new CD module it starts on the first pull! Hopefully I will get another 20 years out of it. I bought that mower the first summer we were married.

Well, I did get that far today.
Introduced myself and all three of us know what we look like now. Tomorrow 12-3 I have lab with them and we get to do more formal introductions and I can fill them in on what I have done on the suspension design already.I am thinking of making the track 6 inches wider than the current design, or 12 inches wider than the car is now. It is narrow for the camber car thing so this would mean a 5 ft track, more in line with road cars. That will change the geometry. Then making the links out of composite I think I need to head-up since I have some experience in that. I don't think either of them have had the composites class. They can assist with the design of the actual links, and the rear needs to be designed with the driveshafts integrated. And spring placement is not entirely set yet. So still some to do, but mostly in the structural design of the links and the manufacturing.

Max, for those suspension parts, are they welded aluminum or steel?

In most places! There are some cities that will write a ticket for 1 mph over.

Original plan was machined aluminum. Current plan is carbon fiber pretty much everywhere except for the upright and the wheel (and the rod ends/bushings).

Dam straight! I don't know why there aren't more girls in engineering and cars. Too many sheeple just following the herd of something?

By the way, I should have some time tomorrow afternoon to see if I can do something with the autocad file if you still want to send it to me.
