We caught some crickets to feed to our new pet watch bug.

I usually leave a place on good terms. But where I am at now it is going to be very bad. I am going to enjoy it very much. :)

nynor 10-02-2012 06:54 PM

That thing looks like it could feed a family of four. I'll bet it grills up quite nicely. :)

that thing looks like it could EAT a family of four..... :D

A friend of mine in HS caught one and kept it as his pet for several weeks. He'd put a "leash" made out of fishing line on it, and my HS science teacher would let him walk it around the lab. Creepy as hell, but cool.... Named him Cedric....

So dad the roadie rides or drives again.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2012 08:29 PM

5 min hop from the house.

GH85Carrera 10-02-2012 08:30 PM

Ok dad the roadie hops to it. ;)

Porsche-poor 10-02-2012 08:46 PM

Thats about it. This is huge for him. The owner tracked him down tonight and told him " you are playing my birthday party".

Flieger 10-02-2012 09:21 PM

Cool. Good for him.

I happened to be outside tonight during sunset and with the hot weather we have had lately there was no thick marine layer and I could see the mountains clearly and the colors in the sky were awesome. There were some light stratus clouds and the sun was reflecting off them giving the sky a gulf racing color scheme (light blue and orange). The sky went from gold to orange to light blue/teal to blue and then the blue got darker and darker as I looked over my shoulder towards the canyon.

With the silhouettes of the mountains in the sunset the whole thing was quite moving, not that seeing the marine layer fill the valleys and flood over the land, with big curling waves between the differing air densities is not also impressive.

Just made me get quiet and contemplative. Made me feel very removed from the campus life going on around me at the time.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2012 09:28 PM

Must have been awe inspiring.

Flieger 10-02-2012 09:31 PM

Just made me think how lucky I am to be where I am. And kind of made me think about my priorities in life.

I've seen a similar Gulf racing sunset near Avila Beach/Pismo Beach. You know you have the car obsession bad when you see a pretty sunset or wildflowers and see a racing color scheme. :)

It would have been EPIC! to have a Pink Floyd soundtrack right then. No chemicals required.
