As part of my OS rebuild, I'm cleaning up the wireless network at the same time. Last night, I finally got my WD TV Live box working properly for the first time. Up until now getting it to connect to the outside world was a bit 'hit or miss'.

The hardware setup is a bit ugly as I've got the WD box hard wired to a Netgear access point, then there's a 5hite load of different 802 usb dongles everywhere.

I've got it all working pretty schmick right now - very happy.

Although all your mug shots are scary huge on my TV

On a lighter note my boss asked me to look at his lexus today, there is a problem with the HVAC and when I tried to tell him what was wrong he just told me to fix it. I am waiting on parts. he kinda freaked out.

Hmm. Had a bit of a time trying to get home. Several streets around my neighborhood were blocked off with police activity. The news says we had a shooting at a local Trader Joes, apparently. Not 10 minutes ago some numbnuts in my immediate neighborhood started shooting off firecrackers....v e r y s l o w l y. So slowly that I didn't know if it was gunshots at first.

I am told it is chilly this morning by the news and the "men" who have ventured outside, hubby rode his push bike to work at 5.30 brrrr, but me, I am staying inside until I have to absolutely have to go out, no rush, no inclination to get cold at all.
