Cool. He snowboards too.

I remember I went on a trip to magic mountain with my AP physics class and we conducted physics experiments on the rides. Total nerds...

if i can get it to see my television, which i use to watch movies and such from the PC, we are in business.

one more thing with handbrake, david: on the right hand side of the screen there is a panel labelled presets. go to the section that says regular and make sure that 'normal' is highlighted. when you do this, you will have to go back and set all the other options, again.

LOL. Next time you're in SoCal, look him up, to join in on either surfing or snowboarding.

Really? I haven't any first hand experience. :)

No personal experience with them except climbing them when I was a kid. Never crashed into one. My brother fell out of a tree and broke both arms. Gravity always works.

Jim Richards 11-15-2012 10:29 AM

I did too. I think I bounced (no breaks). At least that's what my brother told me.

nynor 11-15-2012 10:51 AM

i fell out of a tree house, about 12 feet, and landed on a stump directly in the chest. i don't know how i didn't break something. who knows.... maybe i did. i thought i was going to die.

When my older brother was very young he was climbing and playing in a tree with a rope. He fell out of the tree with the rope around his neck. My mom watched out her kitchen window as a car immediately stopped, the man jumped out and grabbed my brother setting him on the ground. He didn't fall with enough force to actually break his neck, but would have choked pretty quickly. The guy told my brother to be more careful, got back in his car and drove off. Mom says she was just standing there watching this happen in shock.

nynor 11-15-2012 12:25 PM

good lord.... that would have been terrible to see, richard.

Porsche-poor 11-15-2012 12:27 PM

yikes that would be terrible

d it took 45 min to convert 3.5 gigs to 719 megs. much better way to give to the other parents on a jump drive.

I had a zip line set up in a tree. The line crossed my parents pool. I coiled the rope behind an oleander bush for the Winter. Set it up the next Summer and in the first go, the rope broke and I hit the grass right before the concrete deck.

I also fell 20'+ after hitting the lip of the X Games super pipe a number of years ago. Landed on my right shoulder, tearing almost all the ligaments and some muscle and hit my head.

Porsche-poor 11-15-2012 12:33 PM

yikes. I avoid things like that!!!!

My brother an I set up two pulleys with a steel cable on a tree with two wide branches. He could jump out of the tree and pull me into the air. We could bounce back and forth until we were tired. It was fun but not real safe.

nynor 11-15-2012 02:12 PM

i managed to get the linux installed without killing my windows 7 installation! :D

i am really digging this linux distro and it WORKS.

That was a fun but HOT Parade. The concours downtown in the park was real pretty.

Good morning folks.

I figured you probably would have been there. Was actually looking very closely to see if you were in any footage - didn't see you. Very informative documentary.
