Went to meet a juvenile lab mix rescue pup today. The guy who's fostering her is OK with keeping her until my busy season ends on the 19th so I pulled the trigger. She's an adorable little thing, vet thinks she isn't gonna get much higher than 30lbs or so........

Dave refered to the last day being long. Nothing to do with leap year. :)

Ah ha ha ha... Dogs frightening people...
My other Golden, Penny would go everywhere with me. Usually rode in the passenger seat when it was just me and her. When I would stop at the corner gas and eats she would get down on the floor in front of the passenger seat hiding from passers by. Just as they would get next to the window she would jump up, bark like crazy, then dive back down out of sight. The passer by would jump out of their skin, then look around puzzled because they couldn't see the dog that just startled the beebeebees out of them. After the people would gain their composure and walk away, Penny would peek up over the dash looking at me and the store clerk laughing at her and I swear she had the biggest grin going. Then she would dive back down to the floor, hiding in wait for the next passer by. It was hilarious. She would get the both coming and going. I really miss that dog. She was the best dog in the world, a one in a million. She lived 17 years. I only made it a month dogless before I had to get another puppy. |
Morning, Rick.

Morning Dave, Rick, Jim, not going outside for at least a couple of hours, it is not going to be pleasant me thinks, it looks like its all very icy a frosty morning!!
Crank up the heater, Aust Govt foots the bill! |
Good morning all....
Sitting in the airport in OKC, catching a flight to the twin cities, and then on to Sioux Falls, SD.... Because its just not cold enough for me in OK.... |
Morning Sid, Azzy. My wife and her sister are off to NYC for a few days. The dog and I will hold down the fort. Thankfully, my wife prepared plenty of food to cover my dinner needs in her absence. Otherwise, I'd starve. I can't boil water without burning it. :D
Sid, make sure to spend some time in Duluth. |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354108635.jpg Minot was another regular stop. When they listed several possible places for his next duty tour Hawaii was on the list. He thought about it for almost a full second. We moved to Hawaii before it was even a State. |
Minot vs. Hawaii? Hmmm, let me think...

He retired after 25 years of service when they pretty much told him to get a promotion to Full Bird he had to go to the Pentagon. It is an interesting story on what he was working on at the time. Way above top secret stuff that my iPhone can do a better job of now 34 years later. Communications technologies have changed a lot in the last 4 decades. |
Yeah, you're right. Most of my career has been in R&D working on radiocommunications technologies and systems. :)

Morning Gents/azzy/tweeze
Just back from a boys night in at a mates house - the invite was to come to a meat appreciation evening. He cooked us (five of us) up some Rib-eye steaks, onions and chips (fries). The veggies (chips) were optional :D. A couple of beers and three bottle of cabernet - a great combo for solving the worlds problems. Don't know if I can be bothered with tomorrow now. |
