i think its been very much not humid, lately. my nose always freaks out in the winter. this bloody nose takes the cake, however. the bathroom sink looked like i killed the dog in it.

my wife just got home a few minutes ago and said, "what happened to you?"

i've been messing with it for over an hour. otherwise, i'd be in bed.

i'm actually a little bit afraid to go back to bed, because if it starts up again, it is going to be a mess. i have blood on my shirt, dammit.

Time to freak out your kid! :D

well, he is asleep. i'd prefer to keep it that way. plus, if i get things wound up, the wife is liable to get annoyed.

D, my boys hve the mother of all nose bleeds in the winter and if its a dry summer, I have asked several times for their blood vessel that is close to the surface of the skin on the inside of their noses to be cauterized, but the doctors always saaid, "oh, they will grow out of it!", well ........no they haven't.

Anyway, when the oldest was about 8 he had the mother of all nosebleeds in the middle of the night and there was blood everywhere, I went down to check on him as I heard a noise in his bedroom, and there was blood on his walls, blood all over his face, on his sheets, pillow, it looked like the chain saw massacre had happened in his bedroom, scared the 5hit out of me!!! I rushed to the light and shook him, scaring the 5hit out of him, and then had to clean up the mess.

So often they used to walk down to our bedroom in the night, wake me up to tell me they had a nosebleed, all the while dripping all along the hallway and into our bedroom on the cream wool carpet!!

As a teenager I had horrible nose bleeds. I remember sitting in class in high school taking a math test and suddenly blood was pouring out on to the test paper. I just got up and walked past the teacher and she just said GO! I went to the closest bathroom and it looked like Jack the Ripper had a three way by the time I got it to stop.

That was in the days befroe AIDS and Herpes and the janitor just mopped the floor. I bet now they would bring in a hazmat team for cleanup.

I only recall a couple of times that I had a nose bleed. Those events, from back in my youth, seemed to be correlated with getting my nose broken. :D
