Sounds like the driver is having fun driving your car on the curvy roads and is not ready to give it up yet. Hopefully he is nice to the transmission and not doing speed shifts. if he keeps coming up with excuses it is because he really likes driving it.

Transporter driver called this morning to tell me he blew a radiator hose outside of Burbank. A little while ago he made the delivery before mine, north of LA. He can deliver the garage queen early this evening. Since we were going to have dinner with our son, I offered the driver the alternative of delivering tomorrow. He jumped on that. Been reading up, damn thing starts and idles fine, will run out on the hose at home. As soon as you get it on the lake and try to run it out it dies. We cleaned the pump sock, an haven't gotten to test it since then, but I'm still researching...
