how do you like Mojave? haha. The Spaceship Company and Scaled Composites seem to be hiring. they were just creating sonic booms over the desert today. :)

You could always get a civilian DOD engineering job at China Lake or something like that. But living in ridgecrest would drive you insane....

Scaled would be cool...

I just didn't do the matlab, and extra math stuff. I did differential calc (3 classes), and 3 physics classes (electron physics and crap like that). Mostly, I did lots of lab stuff. Aviation Science was a more "holistic" degree (ie: I learned composite fabrication techniques, along with my flying and mechanical classes) It wasn't offered by the school of engineering. I had two schools..the School of Technology and School of Earth Sciences from my university.

Oooh! Fun! :)

went to the airport restaurant in mojave last year...burt rutan was eating at the table next to me. he was already retired at that time, but was still there for some reason. for aviation guys....lancaster, palmdale, and mojave are really pretty darn cool.

Jeff that looks like it belongs in my neck of the woods

Jim Richards 04-30-2013 05:19 AM

Hey, Janet! A 944!!!

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 06:28 AM

A 944x4.

Cool morning all.

Jim Richards 04-30-2013 06:30 AM

Between yesterday and today, we're having Pacific NW weather here. I'm ready for the SoCal weather.

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 06:32 AM

Poor thing. Right now its 38 but not raining.

Jim Richards 04-30-2013 06:38 AM

Cool and drizzly here. It's stay in bed weather.

Lately, I find myself looking at various car ads online. I mentioned the possibility of getting a car to my wife over the weekend. She said nothing...just gave me one of those looks. Looks like we'll be sharing her Jetta for the foreseeable future. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pyth.gif

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 06:44 AM

Scare her by looking at mods for the car.

I am ordering MORE parts from Pelican. I am doing my part to keep the BBS free. :)

More "while I am in there" stuff. The engine mounts look ok but they are 28 years old with 145,000 miles. A few oil lines that are in the same condition, but they are even seeping so they gotta go.

What the heck it is just money.

Jim Richards 04-30-2013 06:49 AM

I could use a money tree for my SoCal house remodeling. Glen, could I get a seed from yours?

Hey, I am just keeping the economy afloat. Keep the cash FLOW just flowing along.

I keep my money tree picked clean. No compost pile!

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 11:28 AM

that is the 1st rule to Porsche ownership right?

Jim Richards 04-30-2013 11:33 AM

If it isn't, perhaps it should be.
