All in all, I have owned my 911 for 16 1/2 years. It is worth every penny of what I paid for it. It has provided a TON of fun and I really have not spent all that much to keep it in top notch shape.

By the time my wife sells her appliance car it will have lost more value than my car is worth right now. The only fun she has with her car is to get in it and drive home from work.

At the end of the DE at Roebling Road my face hurt from the big stupid grin I had for several 20 minute sessions. I drove it well over a 1,000 miles to Savannah, screamed around a race track and drove it home. Never thought twice about driving a car older than Sidney, and a 140,000 miles.

Don't get me wrong I love mine but it is a love hate relationship

GH85Carrera 04-30-2013 12:41 PM

I just love mine. I don't mind spending some money to keep it in top condition. The day money is more important I will sell it and buy a Honda.

If some dummy didn't ship his car out to the west coast, he could be driving it now. Oh, wait...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...eys/spankA.gif

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 12:57 PM

I'm the dummy who sits in the office all day then goes home to chores or rain. The sun is out right now.

Glen, resist, resist, mmuuuuuusssst ressssssiiiiissst, the while your in there might as well do this or that syndrome!!!!!

A little is good, but too much can get addictive lol

azzarule 04-30-2013 01:41 PM

Jim, it was only a bad idea shipping the Garage Queen to So Cal, when you aren't on the same space time continuum. You just should get old faster, and retire faster.

Oh wait.........

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 01:41 PM

if you feel the need to get a fix rather than fix something you went to far.

LOL. Some days I feel like I'm getting older, faster.

Actually, I'm just a whiner. I need to tough it out.

Evening Y'all
I was thinking on the way home, did we ever decide if we were going to reserve the mill for dinner on the 27th?
If so how many people do we need seating for?

Oh I know. I went back on Pelican to start another project list. A few oil lines that are seeping oil. Gee how about the oil cooler seals, they are just 5 bucks each. The intake will be off for the fuel line replacement, might as well replace those 28 year old seals. And what about the thermostat? The o-ring is darn cheap, might as well do the pressure sender and the breather gasket even though I did that a few years ago. And then I need.....

Rick V 04-30-2013 03:43 PM

If it's rubber of gasket it gets replaced, simple.

Porsche-poor 04-30-2013 03:45 PM

can the vac lines on an SC be replaced with out an engine drop?
